Virtualbox Windows 10 32 Bit Only

Windows 10 32-bit requirements

Hi,

VirtualBox not showing 64 bit Windows 10 The reasons why you might experience this issue are quite diverse and include several different elements. Since a lot of elevated and BIOS level elements are involved during virtualization (Hyper-V, Hypervisor, Hardware security etc.), it might be possible that you have some options not configured properly. Your windows 10 Virtualbox is ready to run. Run Windows 10 VM Virtualbox. Now Open Oracle VM Virtualbox Manager, then select Windows 10 VM and Click on Start. After that, it will start booting and loading windows 10 setup files. You can see that Windows 10 is running properly on VirtualBox. That’s it for now. In Setting-General for Linux virtual machine, Type: Linux Version: only displays 32-bit OS. Need 64-bit OS as in past.

I have downloaded and installed the newest VirtualBox 6.1 for my Windows 10 (64-bit OS), but when I want to install 64-bit Linux, the New-Create Virtual Machine only displays a 32-bit option, no 64-bit option. Windows 10 Pro Host 64-bit only supports 32-bit OS. Reported by: jesusemarquezz: Owned by: Component: other: Version: VirtualBox 5.2.22: Keywords: Cc: Guest type: all: Host type: all: Description I already checked in the BIOS and I have the intel virtual technology option enabled, what additional information do you need to help me with this.

I use Windows 10 1511 64-bit.
Virtualbox Windows 10 32 Bit OnlyI installed the latest VirtualBox 5.0.10 r 104061.
When I run VirtualBox, I see only 32-bit operating systems for choice available.
64 bit virtual machineIn BIOS Intel Virtualization is enabled, Hyper-V in Windows 10 isn't installed.
When running the installation of VirtualBox again, choosing Repair, afterwards I can see also 64-bit operating systems for choice, the problem seems to be fixed. But when I reboot Windows, the same problem arises, only 32-bit operating systems available for choice.
Cheers

When trying to create a Virtualbox VM recently I was only presented with the option of creating a 32-bit client. After a bit of research it turns out this can be caused by incorrect settings in the BIOS or by a competing Virtual Machine software cohabiting the system.

CPU

First of all your CPU must support the virtualization extensions. We can check this on a Bash console if you have installed the integrated feature.

If it returns a positive number, 1 or higher your CPU does support the virtualization extensions. You must still ensure it's enabled in the BIOS. If it returns 0 then your CPU does not support hardware virtualization.

BIOS

You must have hardware virutalization enabled in the BIOS to create and run 64-bit virtual machines.

The following BIOS features need to be enabled:

Windows 10 32-bit Download

  • Intel Virtualization Technology [Enabled] (or AMD-v).

64 Bit Virtual Machine

Hyper-V

Why Does Virtualbox Only Show 32 Bit

If Hyper-V is enabled then Virtualbox will not be able to create 64-bit virtual machines.

If Hyper-V was enabled this will require a reboot.
